Date night probably looks a little bit different at the moment as we will be spending Valentine’s Day in lockdown but you can easily adapt some of these ideas to do over facetime and quite a lot of them are ‘at home’ friendly too! Hopefully, in the not too distant future, the more adventurous ones that require something outside of lockdown restrictions will soon be a part of a romantic date night again soon!
Date night is always something to look forward to. I think allocating specific time for each other to go and do something rather than just hanging out regularly is so important for stopping you from settling into a mundane routine. It’s a chance to have a bit of time together away from any distractions and is a fab way of trying something new (if you’re into adventurous dates) or just remembering how much fun you have when together. So if you’re after some romantic date night ideas then I’ve hopefully got you covered!

NIGHTS IN
DAYS OUT
15. Go for a walk and leave the phones behind
Love these ideas! My favourite date ins are living room campouts and movies while my favourite date out is a short road trip outside the city. Can’t wait to go stargazing once it’s a little warmer out. Thanks for sharing these ideas x

Oooh yes me too!
Love all. Of these ideas 😍❤️ definitely some fab ideas here and something for everyone 💋💕💖 xo
Thank you!
These are some fantastic ideas. Date nights at home really can be so much fun, especially since we gave little choice at the minute. Board games and movies with all the snacks are some of my favourites. I’m also a huge fan of breakfast dates because I love breakfast food! It’s a great idea to leave phone behind too, as it’s easy to be distracted and not give each other full attention.
I love breakfast dates so much!
Some really great ideas here – I particularly like the idea of mini golf!
Thank you!
These are some wonderful ideas Tash; and I think they are very adaptable to the current situation! I always like to have a pamper night with my boyfriend regardless, and end up getting him those shark or monkey patterned facemasks for children (anything to keep them interested!) which is fun. Hope that you can see/have more date nights with your boyfriend soon.

Me too! I love a good pore strip on a pamper night!
These are so cute! My boyfriend and I love cooking and movies, so this is pretty much the standard for us haha, but I love the idea of painting or doing facials together! We would never do this normally, so this could be a good one for Valentines Day!
Let me know if you try it out!
these are really great dating ideas. We like to cook a nice meal and watch a movie here during corona, and it feels nice to do a bit more out of things at home.
Yes, I agree!
Some really great ideas here! I think this pandemic has really taught us how to make the best of every situation xx
Yes, I agree!
I love all of the ideas you listed! I don’t have a boyfriend, but in general, I am very much a homebody so I would love to try them all! the idea of a fort or camp out all night sounds like true fun! I think though, that drawing portraits of each other surely would win! Thanks for sharing x
Thank you! I love that idea too
These are lovely and adorable date night ideas Tash! x

I started doing pamper sessions with my husband and it has been so nice (also kind of hilarious as he is new to doing it as is delightfully clueless). I love all your ideas here, I’m going to be using quite a few of them!
Ahhh that sounds like so much fun!
Gonna bookmark this for when im struggling for ideas! But i actually have a at home diy pamper session planned for valentines day and i think its gonna be so fun!
These are great suggestions! Drawing portraits of each other would be hilarious. I love the idea of the duvet cocoon too. Thanks so much for sharing!

First off, loving the new blog look! Very classy.
Second off, love that you have ‘in’ and ‘out’ ideas! I am all about having fun and doing it responsibly and you have something here for everyone. I am a terrible drawer so whatever portrait I would come up with would, I hope, be a golden laugh treasured forever. 🙂
Thank you so much!
Thank you – I think the portrait one will definitely create some fun memories!
These are some great ideas! Especially as Valentine’s Day is around the corner and in March it’s my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend, so this is super helpful. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thank you! Happy 3 years for March too!
Love all of these different date night ideas! Oooh, I love the idea of playing a board game – you can’t go wrong with friendly competitions either. Even looking at Pinterest for inspo is a fun date night idea. Wish we can go out again with everything going on. Playing sports together is always fun! Thanks for sharing these ideas!

Great ideas on here! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thanks!
Great post, and fantastic suggestions! I think the nights in ideas are particularly relevant at the moment, with all of us locked down again. We’ve been really trying to get into banking recently, then having the bread with a fancy evening meal.
Love the suggestions which involve putting your phone away, too. Such a great idea 🙂 thanks for sharing!
Oooh that sounds delicious! Thank you for reading!
Aw I love these ideas for fun date nights, especially at the moment 🙂 thank you for sharing Tash, I think it’s a great idea to mix up date night ideas. I love your new blog look x

Such a great post, especially with current circumstances! I love that you’ve categorised sections for staying in and going out!
Thank you!
These are lovely ideas. We are going to have a family valentines day this year because it’s a Sunday.
But I can’t wait to have some proper adult only time, we are very over due and date night’s are my favourite x
Me too! Hope you manage to plan a date night soon!
Lovely post and just in time for me! I love nothing more than getting a huge take away and eating and drinking the night away in the kitchen.
I think I’m going to do an M&S dinner in for 2 this V Day!
Rosie
Yes, that’s often the best way to do it!!
Some great suggestions here and I personally love the blindfolded taste test haha! I might suggest that to my boyfriend. I really miss nights out for a meal and things like that. It’s the little things that this pandemic has made me really miss and feeling so much more grateful for! x
Yes I agree! Thank you for reading!
Some great ideas here to keep thing interesting! If only I had someone to date 😂😂
Haha, awe! Thank you!
I love all these ideas and I’m definitely going to use a few of these throughout the next few months! I think for Valentine’s Day we’ll just chill out on the sofa with a takeaway and a film!

Perfect and timely post to give us ideas for the upcoming vday! I believe that our current situation would bring out the best in our creativity and resourcefulness to make our loved ones know and feel how much we treasure them 😉
I hope you’re doing well, Tash! Take care!
Cheers,
Hanna / Heydays With Hanna
Yes I agree, sometimes those ideas are often the best too! Hope you’re doing okay too 😊
Needed this because me and my boyfriend are sooooo bored because of the lockdown!
Hope you find something useful on there!
Me and the boyfriend are long distance because of education, and it has sucked so much during corona.
We do video calls, and do “live” training together and go on walks “together” where we talk while walking.
These are some really lovey ideas! And in perfect time for Valentine’s Day. I wish it was warmer in the evening because I would definitely go star gazing! X
Me too – it would be so much fun!
These are some great ideas! It is so hard right now but sometimes you just have to improvise and do what you can. Similar to you myself and my partner have our anniversary days before Valentine’s day haha. But we have never actually got presents for Valentine’s as we don’t tend to celebrate it at all. But this year we are just going to have a nice dinner on our anniversary(homemade by my partner), probably watch some movies and just relax/spend time together. With us both working from home it can be hard for us to switch off or do something a bit different xx
That sounds lovely – I hope you have a great evening!
We’ve never actually done a chocolate fondue despite my LOVE of all things chocolate. I think, with the lockdown here still ongoing, this is the perfect time to give it a try. After all, date night doesn’t end just because we can’t go out and do the activities that we did before. Now to go on a search online for a fondue pot that I can easily have delivered to the house lol
Now that sounds like a great idea! Hope you manage to find a fondue pot!
There are so many cute ideas on the list! An indoor picnic sounds like such a fun date night idea 🙂 x

I agree, you can’t go wrong with chocolate! I had some success with hot fudge sundaes! Thanks for the plethora of ideas.
Thank you for reading!
My partner and I are having a valentine’s evening of board games, wine and making a meal together! These are all great suggestions x
That sounds like so much fun!
These are great ideas 🙂 We prefer date nights in and usually watch a movie with snacks. I love the idea of the indoor picnic, I might have to plan something 🙂 xx
Yay! Thank you for reading!
Love these dates ideas (even though I’m single lol)! I’m planning to have a coffee date with my friend (singles buddies) or buy something for myself x
That sounds lovely!
So many great ideas! I’ve always wanted to go stargazing/take photos of stars!
