Hey, I’m Tash!

Welcome to A Girl with a View! I’m a 21 year old final year English student based in the UK.

My blog has had many different names and websites over the years. I began as a book blogger way back in 2012 when 12 year old me decided on the brilliant name of Tash Brilliant Book Blog. I then evolved into beauty, setting up a second blog called Skindeep. Eventually, I settled on the name A Girl with a View – inspired by E.M Forster’s A Room with a View that I read during my A-levels.

I’ve been blogging off and on for many years but never very consistently. In May 2020 and in the swing of the coronavirus pandemic, A Girl with a View was re-started again as a hobby to start again!

My blog covers a whole range of different topics. You’ll find a mixture of lifestyle, beauty, books, travel and student content with the odd personal reflection and whatever else takes my fancy. I hope you find something that you enjoy reading.

Aside from blogging, I am a huge fan of travelling and next on my bucket list are Vienna, Milan and Ljubljana. I’ve recently started to enjoy embroidery (thanks to Covid) and am a keen reader who is always looking for recommendations. I love the bands The 1975 and Suede and also have quite a big soft spot for Kylie Minogue and ABBA!
